Akira Izushima opened the first Sango restaurant in Los Alamitos, CA in 1986. The original concept for Sango remains the same today: to provide high quality food and excellent service. That concept has served Sango well. Two more Sango restaurants followed Los Alamitos, one in Laguna Niguel and another in Huntington Beach, CA. References
I can't believe I have to travel all the way to Los Alamitos to get some quality traditional sushi! I'm so sick of the many fusion sushi restaurants in Cerritos so thank goodness for Sango! The service is great. The fish is fresh. I usually order the crunchy roll and rainbow roll. I love its casual and non-pretentious atmosphere. I recommend Sango for anyone who can appreciate traditional sushi with quality fish. Prices are very reasonable and food is never drenched with sauces to mask the fish. -Yelp User
Sango is my lifesaver during this lenten season but at all seasons, Fresh fish,, fresh sushi , HB rolls, spicy salmon rolls, etc..plus I've had tried their chicken curry. Lots of bento box available, friendly staff -Yelp User
