Crème de la Crepe

11/19/2011 **** I love their crepes. I believe this is the original location. I've been to the one in Redondo Beach often, but not this one that much due to the size...in case the wait is long... I came in with a couple of friends last Sunday for brunch. It seemed our timing was good, and we were able to get the last table available. We all ordered a glass of rose, then quiche, seafood risotto, and crepe (Japanese - still do not know why they put this name...). They brought seafood pasta instead of risotto, but they were able to bring risotto a few minutes later. My crepe was good - the buckwheat crepe is flavorful. The seafood risotto contained a big piece of sea scallop and a couple of bay water scallops. I noticed one of the waiters used to work at the Redondo Beach location before. It is good that they try to use servers from France which could enhance the ambiance of this place.

12/12/2011 **** Decided to try some crepe w/ gbff.. Nice cozy little place.. Friendly atmosphere. Very homely.. Liked it. Have not had much crepe in past, i chose Creme de la Crepe, as in name of the place. The waiter came & lit my crepe on fire !! ( you can see the remnant of fire on my crepe fm pic) . It was deeeliiiciosooo.... packed w/ banana. so yummy.. Went well w/ my latte coffee as well. After some chit chat while enjoying my brunch, it was all gone.. So comfortablly filling.. yumm.. No food coma here.. I'd def do it again if I have acraving for crepe. I have yet to try other variety.. Also have not been to Hermosa pier in a loooong time.. Lots of bars to visit near by too ..

12/24/2011 ***** I'm a huge fan of crepes and this place ranks high on the list of crepe places I've been. I'm always torn between ordering savory or sweet, but here my fav by far is the Normandie. The portions are huge and I can never finish the meal, but I order the same thing every time! Love the little wine events they have at both their Southbay locations mid-week! Also, props for hiring actual French servers. I think they come by way of the Hermosa pier hostel. It might be just the accent, but it makes the place feel even more authentic (:
