I could probably give this place 5 stars since I really enjoyed my first time here. But since it was my first time dining in, I'm only giving it 4 since there are more things to try on the menu. My sister and I shared: Sunrise on 2nd Street Roll (spicy crab* with avo and tuna on top) & some sauce. It was delicious. My sis loves all that sauce on top, and I always forget to ask for it on the side. (Trying to be a little healthier, but oh well, haha) Atlantic Roll (spicy salmon with avo wrapped in soy paper) love love love. again, i need to ask for sauce on the side. but still delicious hamachi delight. (asparagus wrapped in baked yellowtail) this sushi special could have been fantastic if they chose a different mayo. the mayo was a little too cheesy. i like yellowtail and asparagus so that part was good. and for dessert...green tea tempura !!! lots of sushi joints have this, but I gotta say Sushi Studio's is amazing ! =) I'll be coming back...I came during regular dinner hours, but I needa try and make their happy hour. Specialty rolls for 6 bucks from 3-6!

This was quite possibly the best sushi that I've ever had in my life, and in such an unassuming place. The restaurant is tiny, extremely casual and located in a motel parking lot. We ordered a TON of sushi and all of the rolls had unbelievable combinations of fillings, toppings and sauces that complemented each other so perfectly. My favorite of the night was Sunrise on Second Street: spicy shrimp, crab and avocado inside, wrapped with tuna on the outside, topped with chef's secret sauce. It was so delicate and the consistency of the tuna wrapped around the outside of the roll was melt-in-your-mouth creamy. I could have easily eaten a plate of it all by myself. Everyone else at the table loved Sexie Girl the best: shrimp tempura and jalapeno on the inside, wrapped with mango and topped with a sweet and spicy sauce, masago, green onion and crunchy flakes. We waited about 45 minutes for a table for 5 at 7:00 on a Friday night, but if you only have 2-3 people, the sushi bar is actually huge and occupies the entire center of the dining room. I wouldn't recommend coming with more than 5 people unless you're willing to sit at separate tables because the place is so small. There are a lot of servers and chefs, so you get your food very quickly once you're seated. They have great happy hour sushi specials that they surprisingly let us take advantage of since we were on the list to be seated before 7:00. It was my boyfriend's birthday (one of three that night!) and they brought out a simple bowl of vanilla ice cream, but with incredible fanfare. They turn off the lights and blast a song with a thumping beat and the servers march the ice cream to the table, beating on tambourines while the entire restaurant claps along. It's so much fun, even when it's for someone you don't even know...definitely one of the most fun and satisfying dining experiences that I've had in a long time.
